SPENCER (M)

  • Westpac OpenAir Fleet Steps (map)

Kristen Stewart is spellbinding as Diana Spencer, in Pablo Larraín’s much-lauded Spencer.

Offering a 72-hour glimpse into the tumultuous life of the ‘People’s Princess’ as she’s about to celebrate Christmas 1991 at Sandringham with the royal family. Her marriage to Prince Charles (Jack Farthing) has long since grown cold, and with rumours of affairs and divorce abound, peace is ordained for three days of eating, drinking, shooting and hunting. But Diana has other plans and Spencer shows Diana in the revitalising act of escape from her privileged prison. Through Stewart’s brilliant, bittersweet and utterly transporting performance “of her life”, we get to watch her fly.

Critically-acclaimed and beautifully shot, you won’t want to miss Lady Di when she returns to Sydney Harbour.

“I SOBBED THE WHOLE WAY HOME.” – LONDON EVENING STANDARD
