Shot in gorgeous black and white, the touching and inspiring C’mon C’mon stars Joaquin Phoenix in what New York magazine described as "a career best for him.
Johnny (Phoenix) is a radio journalist traveling the country interviewing children about their lives. While in Detroit he calls his once close sister whom he has not spoken to since their mother's death. Reconnecting, she asks Johnny if he can come to Los Angeles to mind her nine-year-old son Jesse. Johnny agrees, and what unfolds for all is a wonderful emotional journey.
Rating a whopping 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, and among the official selections at Telluride and New York film festivals, C'mon C'mon is one of those rare and beautiful film that draws you in at once, and won't let go of you for days. It's about relationships, family and most of all, love and life.
